Tonight's Special is a local band from Tallahassee, Florida that brings a unique sound to the city's vibrant music scene.  Tonight's Special is inspired by hip-hop and jazz, and is comprised of MC Chef Will, keyboardist Sammy Hanson, drummer Nygel Anderson, bassist Aaron McNamara, and brass players Reese Cloud, Kyle Bramson, and Kyle Tennyson. The band members' passion for music, particularly jazz, brought them together. Tonight's Special's commitment to an upbeat sound is evident in their music, and the band emphasizes the importance of this energy in their live performances. They have played at a variety of venues in Tallahassee, including college parties and legitimate concert venues, and they recently won The Music Industry Connection's Battle of the Bands event. In 2023, Tonight's Special anticipates an exciting era, with shows already booked, including a performance at the grand opening of Cat Family Records. The band continues to provide a jazzy and funky sound that is different from the other live groups in Tallahassee, and they are a great fit for the city's dynamic audience of college students.
